About Us

Rob Greenacre is an engineer by background but has a passion for motorbikes, golf & running. His first experience of charity work was with the Syrian refugee crisis in 2015 when he travelled to the Greek islands to provide humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees as part of the Children's e-Hospital refugee aid programme. Rob continues to support the refugees with regular shipments of clothing. He became a trustee for the Children's e-Hospital in 2016 and is continually involved in directing the charitable work of the organisation.

Hello! My name is Poppy and I am 11 years old. I live in the south west of England and I enjoy gymnastics, reading, sport and spending time with my family and friends. I have a condition called PANDAS which means sometimes life is tricky for me. I am really proud to say I am a member of the Children’s Executive Board and I’m really looking forward to working with Dr Ubhi and his team.

My name is Erin McMurtry, I’m 11 years old and I’m a Year 7 pupil at Sale Grammar School in South Manchester. Some fun facts about me are: I love animals, I even have 6 pets! My favourite food are burgers or chicken wings. I really enjoy acting and shopping in my spare time. I’m really looking forward to helping contribute to the e-Hospital.

Hi my name is Hannah Dennis, I am 13 years old I live in Penkridge in Staffordshire with my Mum, Dad, little Sister Poppy and our Cocker Spaniel Bobby. My hobbies include reading and I am a huge Harry Potter fan! I also enjoy looking after and going on long walks with our dog Bobby. My favourite place to go on holiday with my family is Cornwall as me and my Dad really enjoy body boarding and I am hoping to learn to surf this year. My favourite subject at school is Science and I hope to have a job in Healthcare or science when I am older like my parents who are a Paramedic and a nurse. I am really excited to be part of the Children’s E-hospital executive board and I am keen to get started on developing the service especially for other teenagers.

Hi, my name is Edward Bywell. I’m 14 years old and I was born on the 26th of January 2006. When I was 7 years old, I was diagnosed with PANDAS syndrome, which stands for Paediatric, Auto-immune, Neuropsychiatric Disorder, Associated with Strep. PANDAS is a brain disease which results in tics.
I play a lot of sports including:

• Rugby
• Clay Pidgeon Shooting
• Basketball
• Swimming
• Table Tennis
I play football for Skipton Town as a goalkeeper and have trained in the past with Burnley and Bradford. I have been playing football since I was 6 years old.
I have been on the school council for my secondary and primary school, and head boy in primary school.
The most embarrassing moment of my life was when I was 7 years old, I was playing hide and seek with my friends and I decided to put a toilet seat on my head. In the half an hour of waiting for my friends to find me, the seat had got stuck on my head. My Grandad ended up having to oil my ears to release the seat.
I have recently signed up for my DofE, it sounds amazing and can’t wait to start it!

My name is Natasha. When I was 14 I suddenly started to experience severe mental health problems. I had therapy for some months, but progress was limited and fluctuating.
My parents had read about PANDAS while researching my health issues and wanted me to be checked for it. It was not easy finding a doctor for this, but their research lead them to Dr Tim. I had to have blood tests (which were not without drama for me - I hate needles!) and a few weeks later was diagnosed with PANS (linked, in my case, to a specific bacteria). Dr. Tim explained what was going on with my immune system response and why it was causing problems for me. He also explained how he would treat it, and the steps we would go through depending on my response. I understood there were complexities and it would not necessarily be a quick process. Shortly after I started on antibiotics we began to notice positive changes. Those have continued, as has the treatment and, combined with therapy, I feel so much better now. The progress helped me face therapy knowing there was nothing holding me back. I am very grateful to Dr. Tim and The Children’s e-Hospital for my diagnosis and treatment, and for all the education about PANDAS and PANS that they gave me and give so many other people.

Dr Tim Ubhi is an NHS Consultant Paediatrician & Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health. He has over 27 years experience in Paediatrics & Child Health. Tim has a specialist interest in Paediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcus (PANDAS) and is a founding member of the UK PANS/PANDAS Physicians Network. Tim is also a member of the Scientific and Medical Advisory Board of the European Immunopsychiatry Association (EXPAND).

The early part of his career was as a lecturer in Paediatrics & Child Health at Leeds University. During this time he completed his research into using botulinum toxin to help children with cerebral palsy to walk. For this piece of work Tim was awarded the prestigious Michael Blacow prize by the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health. Tim was then awarded a Medical Research Council training fellowship looking at the development of novel treatments for childrens cancers.

A large part of his training was in paediatric oncology but more recently Tim has focussed on PANS/PANDAS with a particular interest in PANDAS. Tim has treated over 500 patients with PANDAS in the UK over the past 3 years. As a consultant and clinical director in the United Kingdom he noted the improvements in patient care that were necessary in order for paediatrics and child care to survive as part of a National Health Service. Tim has completed the NHS Leadership Academy Nye Bevan Executive Training Programme and graduated in March 2016.

He founded the Children's e-Hospital in 2015 and and this was the first online child health service of it's kind. The service has been rated "Outstanding" by The Care Quality Commission and is rapidly growing.

Maria Vittoria is a neurophysiology technician with a strong academic background. She graduated from the University of Sussex with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and completed a Master's in Neuroscience at Kings College London, specializing in Neuroimaging.

As a polysomnography (PSG) technician, Maria conducted sleep studies using electroencephalography (EEG) to record brain waves and electromyogram (EMG) to monitor muscle activity. Her expertise in data acquisition of multiple physiological parameters helped diagnose and treat sleep disorders.

Maria also worked as a neurofeedback technician, where she provided innovative brain training interventions to children and adults with ADHD, Autism, OCD, and stress-related disorders. She used EEG to monitor and regulate brain activity, allowing patients to learn self-regulation techniques, optimize cognitive function and regulate emotional responses. Improving the quality of life for individuals with neurological challenges through neurofeedback therapy has been a gratifying experience in her career.

In addition to her practical experience, Maria is an active member of esteemed professional organizations such as the British Neuroscience Association, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies and holds a graduate basis of chartered membership with the British Psychological Society. She is also certified as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner.

Clare is a registered mental health nurse by background and has always had a particular interest in child and parental mental health. Having previously worked in CAMHS she now is a lead practitioner for a NHS perinatal mental health service supporting women experiencing mental health difficulties in pregnancy and postnatally.

She is a Mum of two girls, one of whom has a diagnosis of PANDAS, and is excited to have the opportunity to support the valuable work of the Children’s e-Hospital.

Hello, I'm Raj and I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I trained in Birmingham, London and Liverpool.
I work collaboratively towards your goals from therapy with the importance of a therapeutic relationship, this is developed from trust and confidence by understanding your presenting concerns and offering evidence based psychological interventions. I am a BABCP accredited cognitive behaviour therapist and see children and adults for a range of issues including OCD behaviours, anger management, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, bereavement and lack of self esteem.
The best part of being a CBT therapist is helping my patients identify and build on current strengths, learn problem-solving strategies and enhance their coping skills.
I get to learn more effective ways to connect with others and use these to better communicate and get through to my patients.
I’m excited to be a part of the Children’s E Hospital because I feel that I can be part of an innovate approach to health care. I’m looking forward to being part of a team of people with a wide variety of skills, from whom I can learn and develop my own knowledge.

Vicki has many years of administrative experience working in the NHS and joined The Children's e-Hospital as a patient treatment coordinator in spring 2018. Vicki prides herself in puttng the patients first and has become a big hit with the families that we treat through the Children's e-Hospital. Ffion has written and illustrated several children’s picture books. She is also the co-director of Nurse Ted Limited, which produces picture books for children whose parents have serious illnesses. Ffion has also written and illustrated the Nurse Ted stories, and work with palliative care nurses who provides information for the books to aid children's understanding of medical issues. Ffion has joined The Children's e-Hospital Team and will work alongside The children's executive board to develop stories and resources to help children understand medical problems.

Lucinda Miller has over 20 years of experience and qualified as a naturopath, gaining a further diploma from the Functional Medicine University. She is a fully qualified NLP coach and mentor for kids with ADHD and Autism. Lucinda is also the author of the bestselling children’s nutrition and cookbook The Good Stuff.

Lucinda founded the NatureDoc Clinic, and runs a team of UK-wide nutritional therapists specialising in child and teen nutrition. They have a strong focus on gut health, inflammation and immunity, while integrating nutrition with conventional medicine. She is the mum of three and has joined the Children's e-Hospital to help produce an integrated approach to child health.

Andy is a management consultant for a large firm in London and has experience in the transport & defence industry. Andy and his wife, Theresa, have an 11-year old daughter Holly who has PANDAS and a 13-year old healthy son called William. They live in Surrey and are passionate about helping others by increasing the profile and awareness of this condition. They consider themselves fortunate as they were able to get a swift diagnosis through Dr Ubhi and begin a successful course of treatment.

Theresa is currently working in a senior operations role in the NHS . She worked commercially in publishing and media before joining the NHS. Theresa has experience in man management, service delivery, capacity and demand planning, change management, negotiation and project management. It was through a colleague that she heard about PANDAS and then investigated further and found the Children's e-Hospital.

Michelle is a keen advocate for PANS/PANDAS awareness and the importance of those affected having the appropriate access to diagnosis, treatment and support. Michelle has personal experience with the many challenges that families face as one of her children suffers from the condition.

Michelle is looking forward to supporting the Children's e-hospital in their important work in this area.

Michelle's professional experience includes being co-founder of Cirrus, a market leader CCaaS and CX business. Michelle also has corporate consulting experience with Deloitte where she worked across the private and public sectors.

Jason brings first-hand experience and insight as a father of a child diagnosed with PANDAS. His personal journey navigating the complexities of this condition has equipped him with a unique perspective, enabling him to effectively guide and support other families through similar challenges.

As a passionate advocate for children with PANDAS, Jason hopes to be instrumental in enhancing awareness, improving patient experiences, and influencing policy changes. His commitment to this cause, combined with his background in leading businesses and driving organizational success will help him as an advisor to the Children's e-Hospital to ensure that patient care remains at the forefront.

Jason is a serial entrepreneur and is currently the CEO and founder of Cirrus, a market leading CCaaS and CX business, and he holds a Royal Warrant for Cirrus’ services to the Royal Household.

Caroline has a background in corporate learning and development and has led her own coaching and leadership development consultancy for over a decade. Her passion for her work is rooted in the commitment to helping people be happier and healthier in their working lives.

Caroline has a deeply personal connection to the children’s e-hospital. As a mum to two boys, she feels privileged to have received their support and treatment for her elder son. With the right treatment plan, her son has been able to return to school and to regain mental and physical health. Caroline’s aim is to combine her professional skills and personal insights to help extend this opportunity for healing to as many young people as possible.
